Our aim in the 'Mini/Midi and Youth' section of BRFC is to encourage children from 6 to 16 to enjoy an active, outdoor sport with the emphasis on safety, fun, sportsmanship and the development of skills. If, after all that, we can win a few matches then great – in fact, we've been extremely successful ‘on the pitch’ over the past few years, across all the age groups; a record we look forward to maintaining in the future.
We meet at Bournemouth Sports Club (Chapel Gate near Hurn Airport) at 10am each Sunday morning throughout the season - from the first Sunday in September through to the end of April - regardless of the weather (excepting severe frost or waterlogged pitches). The older age groups also train midweek under floodlights: under-13 to under-16 on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.

Christchurch Festival of Sport taking place at Grange School.
This a great free fun day for children to try various sports. One of those will be rugby! Bournemouth RFC plan on having a stall at this event to promote the club & help recruit some players. Tag tournamnet for all ages over 6. Bournemouth RFC is supporting this RFU event so we need as many volunteers as possible to help referee, man stalls etc. You don't have to be a qualified referee but if you have refereed tag before it would help. RFU iRB rugby Ready Course
Taking place at Bournemouth RFC, 9.30am - 12.30pm. This course covers the safe & fun way to teach children contact rugby & is strongly recommended for all coaches involved in teaching contact rugby to children. This will be a pre-requisite to attending the Level 1 coaching course from 1st September 09.

| U15's / Year 10 Summer tag Rugby |
The Rugby Football Union is proud to announce
Summer Tag Rugby for Under 15’s (current Year 10 or next seasons Under 16’s) Boys and Girls.
Relaxed fun sessions in the sun to get your rugby fix over the summer months. Will be all game based but will still keep you fit and active!
Various locations around Bournemouth and Wimborne
Pitch up and Play on the night as no prior experience is required.
All welcome bring a team or bring a mate and join a team on the night.
All sessions run from 6pm till 8pm.
Lytchett Minster RFC Monday 8th June and Monday 6th July
Wimborne TBC Monday 15th June and Monday 13 July
Oakmedians RFC Monday 22nd June and Monday 20th July
Bournemouth RFC Monday 29th June and Monday 27th July.
Followed by a final session on the Beach!

| U7s (Tag) Coaches Needed |
We require volunteers to help coach the coming season's U7s. These are usually parents from the U7s group, but don't necessarily need to be. If anyone is interested please contact Salvatore Ponzio. You don't necessarily need to have previous coaching experience as courses will be made available, all that is required is enthusiasm. |
